The ability to customize it is what really makes it the better option. That's one of the big differences between blogger.com and wordpress. The community can contribute; so there are literally thousands of people making it better. Well done on choosing Wordpress too - I haven't looked back since I changed over (which must've been over a year ago by now). The ease of use and handy plugins/add-ons is mind-boggling: I'm still discovering new things even now but I think, if anything, it actually encourages me to post more so it's all good. You can't beat buying up your own domain and server space either. It feels so good to be able to say "This corner of the internet's MINE!" :D I can only agree on how annoying the CSS is though...as a general rule IE makes everything look rubbish!
