The new chibi no nothing, same as the old chibi no nothing: Welcome to the massive sameness

I was surfing the internet the other week and got the urge to buy a domain and web space. Don’t ask me why, I have no idea. Maybe, I just thought my credit card bill would be too small this month. I donno.

My old anime blog “chibi no nothing” will continue here under the new name “far away no where.” I thought I would keep the same layout with another nonsensical name. It’s how I roll.

There was a small amount of apprehension on my part with regard to moving over to wordpress. Coding PHP isn’t too difficult. For that matter, the hardest part of the change over has been the formatting in CSS. I managed to get the default layout to mold into what I wanted. I also added those little IPtoNation flags to the comments because they’re friggin awesome.

What should you expect? For my readers–all three of you–it’ll be pretty much the same with the exception of me being able to add whatever the hell I want to the site because I own it baby!

    Grats on your move to Wordpress. Update your Feedburner feed already! There’s a handy plugin for WP that redirects all possible feeds to Feedburner, called Feedsmith. Hope to see more posts from you soon.

    I’m still looking at all the things that wordpress can do. It’s like there is a plugin for everything.

    I’m hoping that playing with wordpress will not take away too much from other things I’d like to do. First and foremost, that would be watching anime.

    Sounds like a good move. :3

    Congrats on the move! Well done on choosing Wordpress too – I haven’t looked back since I changed over (which must’ve been over a year ago by now). The ease of use and handy plugins/add-ons is mind-boggling: I’m still discovering new things even now but I think, if anything, it actually encourages me to post more so it’s all good.

    You can’t beat buying up your own domain and server space either. It feels so good to be able to say “This corner of the internet’s MINE!” :D I can only agree on how annoying the CSS is though…as a general rule IE makes everything look rubbish!

    @TheBigN – t’was a good move, if I do say so myself.

    @Martin – I had never taken the time to really look into wordpress until a few months ago. The ability to customize it is what really makes it the better option. That’s one of the big differences between blogger.com and wordpress. The community can contribute; so there are literally thousands of people making it better. On the other hand, there are only a handful of people doing google’s blogger.

    This little patch in the middle of nowhere.
