@DiGi - I think it was a mixture of having watched both shows and perfect webpage scroll timing. I still think about the comic and laugh. I really do amuse myself quite easily.

Shows should do one of those wavy ~~do~dodadoot~~do~dodadoot things when they do flashbacks. Having to make plot connections is tedious for lazy viewers like I am.

@matte - I though it was going to be this:
- village infested with Yoma
- village calls claymore
- claymore kills Yoma
- Repeat with stronger Yoma

Which, to an extent, was what was happening in the first few episodes.

You’ve convinced me to give Claymore another chance because I lost interest at episode two also. It felt way to formulaic and stereotyped for my taste even if I liked the kinda dark and broody atmosphere. As for Seirei no Moribito I really hope they manage to tell a solid story and so far I think they’re doing a good job.

For what it’s worth, my experience of the Claymore manga is exactly the same as you are describing for the anime – it was incredibly tedious until it hit the Teresa arc (which, yes, is a flashback). From that point onwards things begin to get a lot more interesting. I still don’t particularly think its a great manga or anything, but it at least passes as entertaining now.
