The thought for today – Shinji Ikari is a . . .
Hating Shinji (is the wiki link really necessary) has become common place. I don’t think I’ve come across any material that actually defended him. Although, admittedly, defending Shinji would be hard to do. Sure, Shinji is the biggest pussy that anime has created in recent memory, but is not one of the main draws with NGE it’s introspective phase?
That part being entirely focused on Ikari Shinji.
Today’s Thought: Hating Shinji is a form of self-loathing.

aw, I like Shinji! He’s an interesting character! From what I’ve seen, I seem to be the only one who doesn’t want to bash his skull in :B But then, I also liked the last 2 episodes of the anime…
Well, your not the only one who likes Shinji. Shin Seiki Evangelion is popular because it resonates with a lot of anime fans. It seems that it can do that because people can relate to its characters.
I posted this half jokingly, but it seems to me to be a vaild observation.
