Crescent Love – A case study in how to push a show off the awesome scale

The first episode captured my attention. I’m a sucker for space battles. So, I continued to watch despite the utter lack of space battles after the first episode. What I did get was some humor. The character interactions are for the most part humorous with interspersed male-lead-saying-things-that-make-the-girls-blush and slapstick comedy. There is also very effective use of chibi characters.
Overall, I wasn’t sure I would continue watching the show. I was stuck in the middle ground between deleting the three episodes I had watched from my HD/mind and continuing to watch the series.
That is until episode #4.
What do you do when the best aspect of your show is a cute princess from the moon? Well, it’s really simple, you give her a machine gun and have her go mano a mano (actually that should be machine-gun a mano) with a bunch of bugs. Yeah, royal overreaction is what this show needed.
Specifically, Feena Battle Mode!
Needless to say, if they can offer this on a consistent basis I’ll definitely keep watching the show. I may still keep it up if the humor stays with the series.
Notes:

That series of images is so perfect, it almost makes me want to watch the episode.
…
Almost.
Yeah, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the show on that one episode.
That particular scene came out of nowhere. I was totally surprised because I didn’t think they would take the character in that direction.
Also, (Girls + Guns = Win) every time.
