I think one of the issues that needs to be addressed, that you don't touch on in your post, is that there is also a problem with people being proud of the fact that they make children into sexual objects. In fact, it's the main problem and one that's becoming more and more exaggerated as the internet comes into play (since, lest we forget, most traffic on the internet is porno based).
