Black Lagoon 10 – Girl Fight…Ouch!

Why didn’t someone let me know that Lagoon 10 had come out? I’m very disappointed because it was released by Shinsen sometime yesterday, and I only got a hold of it at about 2:30 in the morning US Central time. Of course, I watched it as soon as it downloaded. I was starting to go through some major Lagoon-withdraws. I like to compare it to not getting enough Haruhi cos-raping Mikuru. (more)

Before you go making some rash assumptions about why I’m up as 3:00 in the morning watching anime. Realize that I always stay up at night and I usually get to sleep around 5 or 6 in the morning. It’s just my schedule. So back off yo!

This episode is the continuation and finalization of the Roberta arc (if you can call it that). It would appear that her part in the story is over, but I can’t say that for sure. If you would recall, in episode 9 Roberta was T1000′ing on the back of the Lagoon Co’s car. That’s were this episode picks up. They end up at a cargo seaport where Revy finally decides to wake up. Roberta and Revy go at it with hand guns. They literally wreak the entire place. We’re talking explosions, bullets flying everywhere, electrical discharges, cats and dogs running for their lives, etc.

They’re just about to off each other when “scar” shows up. I can’t remember her real name and I’m too lazy to find out, so scar will have to do. Check my last post for a picture. Anyway, where was I, Revy and Roberta are about to blow each away when scar shows up with her band of merry men (exmilitary special ops). Apparently, she was going to go to war with the cartel that was giving the Loveless family so many problems. Roberta saved them the trouble. However, the two chics don’t want to stop until one or both are dead. Good ‘ol Dutch brings up the idea that they should settle it like women and have an old fashioned-hair-pulling-slap-fest like we all used to see in high school. So the two of them go at it.

At this point, I should note that my hopes of seeing one of the fights like I saw in high school–were the girls lost most of their clothing but didn’t manage to get any good hits in–was dashed, sadly. The two of them commence to knocking each other the fuck out.

ding…ding…

Okay, I usually don’t do this because I’m such a huge glasses man, but Roberta actually looks better without her glasses. Even though, we only see her without her glasses when she’s fairly bruised and battered. It was an aesthetic judgment on my part because I don’t believe there is a beat up chic moe. I don’t plan on starting that one. Now, there is an “injured” chic moe. I come to that conculsion because of all the Ayanami eye-patch and bandage doujinshi.

At any rate, this episode has satisfied my Lagoon needs for about a week or so. Hopefully there will be another release soon. Maybe more chic fights!
