Please, please, please…I want there to be another season of Haruhi. I stopped everything during my vacation to watch Suzumiya Haruhi noYuuutsu 14. I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think that this particular episode would have amused me as much has it has.

Mikuru cowering was hilarious.
Yuki being her usually self was great.
Haruhi being melancholy…nothing new.

I was expecting a happy ending so that didn’t surprise me. For that matter, like most of the show, we already knew what was going to happen. The “sleeping beauty” references lead us to believe there was going to be a kiss between Kyon and Haruhi. We knew that Kyon would have to reveal to Mikuru that she had a mole on her left breast (or as AoMM would say “her left luscious melonpan.”). We knew that this episode would be the nearest that their world would come to oblivion/recreation for these 14 episodes. The fact that there is major foreshadowing, plus blatant plot giveaways, shows that the best part of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu is the characters. The viewer tunes into this show to see what the unique characters will be doing next. That and to see Mikuru either getting “cosraped” or just plain giving off her major moe vibe.

Actually, that episode wasn’t the end. We know that there is more, and I plan to watch the entire series in “Haruhi” order to see if I pick up on anything. I’m sure other bloggers will get to that one before me though.

Did anyone else see that expression on Yuki’s face while Mikuru was trying to see what was in the “Mikuru” hidden folder? She was so jealous. I think I saw a little anger in there too.

Okay, this has been a fairly short post, but I’m in Vegas now and have to get out and do some stuff because…well, the plane ticket out here wasn’t cheep. Oh yeah, if anyone cares, I’ll be hosting classes when I get back about how to lose all your money at $5 black jack when you’ve managed to get $200 ahead.
