The Shinku from Hell, or “Jigoku Shinku”

Apparently, I was’t the only person to see this scene as Ai doing cosplay as Shinku from Rozen Maiden. This is from Jigoku Shoujo episode 20 (Jigoku Shoujo vs Jigoku Shounen). I wasn’t too thrilled that they sent Hell Boy to hell so quickly. I wanted to see some Shounen styled fighting akin to Dragon Ball, but sadly they went another direction with it. Jigoku Shounen owned Ai for the first part of the fight though. They should have expanded on the fight scene, but that’s beside the point here.

Back on track. I think they should have gone with the red number shown in episode 20 for the character design of Jigoku Shoujo throughout the series. I mean, the school girl uniform is standard fair for anime females. When was the last time you watched an anime series without any school girls and school girl uniforms? It’s absolutely an anime staple. But new doesn’t mean bad.

Here is why this intrigued me:

Jigoku Shoujo, she pulls the look off nicely.

(Shinku) Just wait until she wakes up.

She’s got the silent thing down pat, a necessary attribute to pull off the look. Of course, she also needs a guy to slap around. Shinku had her “servant.” Emma Ai has her dolls, but they are actually servants so they won’t work. Anyway, I digress.

I recently came across some info* that stated there is a second season of Jigoku Shoujo, a Jigoku Shoujo SS as it were. I think they need a gimmick to pull of a second season, and I’m thinking the Victorian dress. Maybe even a tea party every now and then, and of course the weak male lead for Ai to smack around.

I really want to see her doing the “this revenge will fairy you to hell” gab, dressed up like Shinku from Rozen Maiden. Seeing that, the feeling could only be described as a . . . Jigoku-gasm??, Emma-asm…Ai-g…nagh forget it….

What? You got a problem with that?!

Notes: Jigoku Shoujo SS: I have only read other bloggers and forums mention a second season, I’m not sure if there is any hard evidence.
